Every Tuesday evening we hire the diving pit at Pu Every Tuesday evening we hire the diving pit at Putney Leisure Centre in order to do our pool scuba training (sheltered sessions). The pool session is also open to other club members who want to try out equipment or new skills, or just want to go for a swim 🏊‍♂️ Here, Nick L is instructing one of our Ocean Divers. He is demonstrating neutral buoyancy (or is pretending to be plane!). Either way, we have lots of experienced instructors who can teach you great diving skills and have a lot of fun doing so! On Sunday we took Femti (our club RHIB) down to It On Sunday we took Femti (our club RHIB) down to Itchenor and out to sea 🌊 After purchasing her last year, Steve (Boat Officer), along with many other club members, have carried out essential maintenance and prepped her for the diving season this year 🔩 This was our first time taking her out to sea, and she handled it well, topping out at just over 24 knots! A great day was had by us all (we’ll skip over the part where the dive we attempted lasted 6 minutes!) But the main aim of the day was to check out the boat as a dive platform 🤿 - and it passed with flying colours!
