Our ‘Try Dive’ is a great way to try scuba diving for the first time. You will be shown how to use the equipment in a very safe controlled environment with a fully qualified BSAC instructor. Once in the diving pool the instructor will show you some simple skills which will allow you to control your buoyancy, to fin around the pool and move up & down effortlessly. Your instructor will have shown you some signals to use under water and will demonstrate certain skills which you can then try out for yourself when signaled to do so.
All our Try-Dive sessions take place at Putney Leisure Centre, where we have privately hired the diving pool for one hour each Tuesday from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.
The cost of the try-dive includes entrance to the pool, around one hours instruction from a BSAC qualified instructor and hire of the equipment and air needed for that session. If you subsequently decide Scuba diving is for you and you want to join the club then 50% of this ‘Try Dive fee’ is deducted from your joining fee.

definitely value for money, couldn’t ask for more
For some people this session can be life-changing and you may want immediately to carry on with your training to become a fully qualified diver. If so please contact the club and once your membership has been authorised you will be put onto a schedule to begin training as an Ocean Diver. Perhaps even more importantly you will have access to all the benefits from joining a Putney BSAC club and meet a community of divers from all walks of life.
